Every human culture has developed forms of communal gathering. Rituals differ, usually around food, fire, ceremony, and songs. Something in us desires a place where we are known and belong.

Built Together — “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone.” (Ephesians 2:19-20 ESV) Where do you still feel like a stranger in a place where you actually belong?

Living Hope — “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” (1 Peter 1:3 ESV) Where do you need a hope that is alive and active rather than distant and theoretical?

Spiritual Move: Community — The practice of gathering regularly with others for encouragement, accountability, and shared life. It is important for spiritual growth because we are formed by and for one another.” “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together.” (Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV)
