Genesis 2:10 / Psalm 42:1
Pay attention to what your soul is seeking.

We can feel dehydration, in our mouth, our hands, uneasy when things are not quite right. Like wilderness wandering people water meets us at a deep desire for refreshment.

A Garden Needs Water — A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and there it divided and became four rivers. (Genesis 2:10 ESV) What do your needs tell you?

Soul Longing — “As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?” (Psalm 42:1-2 ESV) What do you keep returning to when everything runs dry?

WATER MOVES

Spiritual Move: Contemplative Prayer — This is the practice of sitting with a need in God’s presence, releasing the burden of words and outcomes, trusting the Spirit to intercede when words are not enough. Bring what you cannot articulate and simply stay. “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love.” (Zephaniah 3:17 ESV)

Spiritual Move: Journaling — Write today not about what you need to fix, but about what you notice. Where has the light shifted in you — even slightly — over this arc? Transformation is rarely visible until you look back. Let the page hold what you are becoming. “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10 ESV)
