Aren’t all of us initially drawn seeking physical sustenance, comfort, and reassurance: described in John 6 as Food, Calm Seas, and Certitude? Then God offers up a large serving of Christ flesh and blood, Sabbath-rest, and faith. We seek order to acquire relationship.
