The Word increased with power

Sep 27: Isaiah 7-8; Acts 6

‘And the word of God continued to increase, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests became obedient to the faith. And Stephen, full of grace and power, was doing great wonders and signs among the people. ‘ Acts 6:7-8

After the Church selects leaders to serve the gentile widows, Luke summarizes the progress of the Church saying that the word of God increased. Then Luke moves to the story of Stephen who performs “signs and wonders” with power.
