A headlamp on a dark trail doesn’t illuminate the whole mountain; it shows you the root in front of your foot, the turn just ahead. Most of our anxiety comes from wanting to see the entire path at once. The lamp was never designed for that.
Pathway Clarity — “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105 ESV) What is the next step in front of you right now?
Eternal Radiance — “And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.” (Revelation 21:23 ESV) How does knowing where the path ends change how you walk today?
Spiritual Move: Examen — At the close of today, trace the path you actually walked. Where did you sense the light — a moment of clarity, a right decision, an unexpected peace? Where did you stumble or lose your footing? Bring both honestly before God. “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!” (Psalm 139:23 ESV)
