The Source of Living Water
“Because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living water” (Jeremiah 17:13 ESV).
Scripture warns us that turning away from God leads to spiritual dryness. When we rely on ourselves or the world, we find that nothing satisfies our inner thirst. God alone is the source of true refreshment and life.
“Let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price” (Revelation 22:17 ESV).
This invitation is both an offer and a reminder. God’s living water is not something we earn—it’s a gift freely given. However, we must choose to receive it. Have you been neglecting the fountain of living water, trying to satisfy your soul with other things? The world offers many substitutes, but none can compare to the life-giving water that comes from God.
Prayer: Lord, forgive me for the times I have sought satisfaction in things other than You. Draw me back to Your fountain of living water, and fill me with Your life-giving presence. Amen.
