When you open the curtains in the morning, sunlight invades the room. We rely on light to help us see through the day. John said,
“In him was life, and the life was the light of men” (John 1:4 ESV)
The true light is the source of both life and light for all of us. This light keeps us from stumbling in confusion and uncertainty.
“The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world” (John 1:9 ESV).
The purpose of Jesus is to lead us out of darkness into abundant life, reminding us that true fulfillment comes from walking in His light. Jesus also said, in John’s gospel,
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life” (John 8:12 ESV).
Following Him means leaving behind spiritual confusion and embracing His guidance. When we choose to walk in His light, we find direction and abundant life.
Invite Jesus into the dark spaces of your life. Ask Him to illuminate your path and guide your steps. His promise is a light that will lead you to truth, purpose, and growth.
