“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV)
“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.” (Genesis 8:22 ESV)
God’s timing is flawless, woven into the very fabric of creation. Just as the seasons shift from one to the next, so do the moments of our lives, from joy to struggle and everything in between. Ecclesiastes 3 teaches us that every season has its appointed time under heaven, reminding us to trust in God’s perfect rhythm. Though we may be eager to rush through the hard times or cling to the good, Genesis 8:22 assures us that as long as the earth endures, His cycles of growth, rest, and renewal will continue.
In this, we are reminded that patience is essential. Isaiah 40:31 offers the promise that as we wait on the Lord, our strength is renewed. This is a waiting with purpose, filled with anticipation for the harvest that will come in due time (Galatians 6:9). We may not see the fruit immediately, but God is always at work, and His timing is never late.
Lord, help me to trust in Your timing, even when the seasons of life seem difficult. Teach me patience and remind me that every moment, whether of joy or challenge, has a purpose in Your grand design. Amen.
Celebrate milestones that reflect God’s hand in your life. Reflect on the rhythms of growth, rest, and renewal that He has ordained.
