The strength God provides is never meant to end with us. Like land entrusted as inheritance, faith is cultivated today so it may bless tomorrow. Our lives become living testimonies, carrying forward stability and hope that others can stand upon. What begins in quiet faithfulness grows into a legacy of endurance, ensuring that God’s work in us continues to bear fruit across generations.
“They are planted in the house of the LORD; they flourish in the courts of our God. They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green.” (Psalm 92:13–14 ESV)
This psalm portrays a vision of ongoing vitality—fruitfulness that continues even into old age. Such endurance is not sustained by willpower but by God’s presence, ensuring that what is cultivated in faith carries forward into later seasons of life.
“That according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth.” (Ephesians 3:16–18 ESV)
Paul’s prayer expands the idea of inheritance into the vast dimensions of God’s love. This spiritual grounding provides more than personal endurance—it establishes a strength broad enough to embrace generations, inviting us into a legacy rooted in Christ’s enduring presence.
Spiritual Move: Planting
You’ve heard the saying that the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second-best time is now. Plant with future generations in mind. Your choices today—acts of faith, words of love, seeds of grace—take root in ways that can bless lives you may never see. Lasting strength is never just for yourself; it becomes an inheritance for others.
