Discover how to draw spiritual strength from Christ’s inner life. Just as underground springs nourish trees, God’s Spirit renews and empowers us internally, encouraging reliance on divine flow rather than effort for spiritual growth.

Some trees remain vibrant during drought, their leaves green, while others wither. Beneath the surface, deep roots draw from underground springs—unseen but vital. Our spiritual vitality isn’t based on external circumstances or our actions, but on God’s Spirit within us—renewing and sustaining. Living from that deep well helps us transcend emotional highs and lows, and His life becomes our daily strength, guiding and nourishing us.
“O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these is the life of my spirit. Oh restore me to health and make me live!” (Isaiah 38:16 ESV)
Isaiah’s prayer acknowledges that true life is found in the sustaining presence of God. It is by His restorative grace—not our own strength—that we continue on, body and spirit. Even in weakness or affliction, God is the One who makes us live.
“In him we live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17:28 ESV)
Paul speaks of a life so immersed in God that every breath, step, and thought is rooted in Him. This verse reframes our entire existence: God is not distant, but the very atmosphere in which we live. His presence isn’t occasional—it’s foundational.
Spiritual Move: Empowerment
Empowerment is the practice of living each day by the Spirit’s strength within us. Rather than relying on fleeting emotions or personal effort, we draw on the life of Christ that continually renews, sustains, and moves us forward. Empowerment is not about taking control—it’s about living from the source already within.
