Water 2: Living in the Flow of God’s Wisdom
“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.” (Revelation 22:17 ESV)
Revelation 22:17 invites us to come and take the water of life freely. God’s wisdom is available to anyone who thirsts for it—there are no barriers, no cost, no exceptions. This is the invitation to a life of wisdom and understanding, where our thirst for clarity, direction, and truth can be quenched by the Spirit of God. When we feel spiritually dry, we are invited to drink deeply from the endless supply of living water that He offers, knowing that in His wisdom, we find true fulfillment and peace.
“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.” (John 7:37 ESV)
Jesus reiterates the invitation in John 7:37, calling anyone who is thirsty to come to Him. His promise is that we will never thirst again if we drink from Him. This is not just about physical thirst but a deep, spiritual thirst that only God can satisfy. As we seek His wisdom, His living water flows into us, quenching our thirst and filling us with understanding. This water of life refreshes us, guiding our decisions, renewing our minds, and empowering us to live in alignment with His will.
Practice: Consider areas in your life where you feel spiritually dry or lacking in wisdom. Bring these areas to Jesus in prayer, asking Him to fill you with His living water. Invite the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts, decisions, and actions, trusting that He will provide the wisdom you need.
