Sep 11: Psalm 148-Proverbs 3; John 9
Let them praise the name of the Lord! For he commanded and they were created. Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens! Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars!’ Psalms 148:3-5
How do inanimate objects “praise” the Lord and what does it mean for us? Do you remember Jesus declaring that the rocks would cry out in praise? The existence of these amazing creations says something.
‘Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” He answered, “And who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?” Jesus said to him, “You have seen him, and it is he who is speaking to you.” He said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him. ‘ John 9:35-38
The identity of Jesus is a key to the meaning and message of the Gospel. When Jesus says he’s The Son of Man, he wants to identify with humanity. He also shows that he is the One predicted by the prophets with a destiny of leadership for all of us.
John 4:26 “I am he,” said Jesus. “You don’t have to wait any longer or look any further.”
