A city functions because thousands of people show up every day to do work most others never think about. The infrastructure, the supply chains, the maintenance — none of it is glamorous. All of it is essential. Faithful service is what holds civilization together.
Harvest Workers — “And he said to them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.’” (Luke 10:2 ESV) Where do you see opportunities for good work that need more people to step up?
Labor Not in Vain — “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58 ESV) What keeps you going when your work seems unnoticed?
Spiritual Move: Service — The practice of giving your time, gifts, and effort for the benefit of others. This is how love becomes visible in the world. “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” (1 Peter 4:10 ESV)
