Trees in windy places develop strong root systems. The tree responds to the resistance by driving the roots deeper. Stability is the result of pressure put upon it.
Planted by Water — “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8 ESV). What helps you stay rooted when you feel unstable?
The Vine and the Branch — “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5 ESV) Where are you striving without connection?
