Creativity at Work: Reflect on the artist’s hands shaping clay on the pottery wheel. Each day, you have a choice: you can approach work as a routine task to get things done, or you can see it as an opportunity for creativity and problem-solving. Whether you’re designing, building, teaching, or leading, you embody the creativity that resides in each of us. Bringing innovation to our work engages our minds, hands, and hearts to transform reality. Every job, responsibility, or chore, has the potential to uncover new ideas and allow our artistic flair to shine through.
“The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.” (Proverbs 21:5 ESV)
Planning and creative problem-solving lead to growth. You can creatively find new solutions, processes, and ideas for your work. Approaching your work with intentionally new perspectives will open doors to new opportunities and abundance. Then you will have found new ways to contribute to your community.
“Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.” (Proverbs 22:29 ESV)
God honors hard work and creativity. Diligence in innovation can open doors to greater success and impact. Every new example of creativity contributes to something larger than ourselves. Our work just might reach beyond what we can immediately see and lead us to greater opportunities.
“And he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze.” (Exodus 35:31-32 ESV)
“The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.” (Psalm 19:1 ESV)
Spiritual Move: Art as Prayer – Using creative expression as a form of worship. Approach your work with a creative mindset. Reflect on how you can bring new energy, ideas, and solutions to even the smallest tasks. As a form of intercession, trust that God’s wisdom will guide your creativity. When you create, remember that it is an act of worship—an offering of your talent back to Him.
Try this Move: Identify one challenge in your work and approach it with a creative mindset. Ask God for wisdom and think of new ways to solve it. Journal Prompt: How has creativity enhanced your work? In what way can you invite God into your problem-solving? How can you use your creativity as a form of prayer or worship?

Excellent devotional. There are so many things at work that I can do better but I get in a rut or routine making the day boring. By applying hard work and creativity I know I can better myself, better my work skills and better the business. This would directly affect me in so many positive ways and put a little more money in my pocket. Sounds like a win-win to me.
