You’ve noticed water goes downhill, responding to the landscape and gravity. Its route provides nourishment for plants and animals along the way. Water is a conduit of life, a cycle of provision.
Healing Waters — “Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city.” (Revelation 22:1-2a ESV) From where are you drawing your life?
The River of Gladness — “There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.” (Psalm 46:4 ESV) When does your joy feel deeper than your circumstances?
Spiritual Move: Contemplation — The practice of gazing upon the realities of life, unhurried and attentive. Set aside words, requests, and agenda to dwell in the desire for the Divine. “One thing have I asked of the Lord, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord.” (Psalm 27:4 ESV)
