No one chose to be alive. You arrived already breathing, already formed, already given something you did not request. The gift preceded any decision you could make about it.
Breathed into Being — “Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.” (Genesis 2:7 ESV) Where does the fact that you are alive surprise you?
Life and Breath and Everything — “He gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.” (Acts 17:25 ESV) What are you receiving that you didn’t produce?
Spiritual Move: Community — The practice of gathering with others with genuine presence, giving what you have received. “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together.” (Hebrews 10:24–25)
