Walking in the Spirit

Posted on February 26, 2026February 25, 2026

Spirit-Led Life — “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.” (Galatians 5:16-17 ESV) Where am I relying on my own strength when I could be leaning on something greater?

Fruit of the New Life — “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22-23 ESV) Which of these qualities feels most absent in my life right now, and what might cultivating it require?

Spirit’s Witness — “The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs — heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.” (Romans 8:16-17 ESV) What would it mean to live with the settled assurance that I am fully known and fully accepted?

Temple of the Living God — “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ESV) How might viewing my body and life as sacred change the way I treat myself and others?
