When we think about the really important things, we can’t help but realize how imperfectly we have lived our lives. Beginning with the end in mind, we recognize our need for renewal. The apostle Paul wrote about it in the book of Titus:
“But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,” (Titus 3:4-5 ESV).
Thats just a sample of the guidance the Christian scriptures give us about how to be truly spiritual. Spiritually spiritual, consistent with the reality of our need to move toward truth and truthfulness.
