You have heard the phrase “more is caught than taught.” Like pottery, learning is done hand over hand; the teacher doesn’t lecture but comes alongside effectively. The form emerges from the relationship, not only the technique.

Lord Builds the House — “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.” (Psalm 127:1 ESV) What work am I doing in my own strength that needs to be surrendered to God’s leading?

Created for Good Works — “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10 ESV) What unique gifts or talents has God given me to fulfill my purpose?

Spiritual Move: Justice — Acting for the poor, vulnerable, and oppressed to extend Christ’s Kingdom in the world. “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8)
