For those who have been wandering the earth, eventually shelter is sought. Like the bird returning to its nest or the wolf to its den. Sometimes we make a place; other times, we have to find one.
Open Arms — “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:28-29 ESV) What burden am I carrying that I need to put down?
Sacred Stillness — “And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire, and after the fire the sound of a whisper. (1 Kings 19:12 ESV) How can I be still and stop striving for a moment?
Spiritual Move: Silence — Let go of your words for a time, no noise, no agenda, wait and be attentive before God in stillness. “For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.” (Psalm 62:1)
