Perhaps we have crouched over a tide pool and noticed the life in it, thriving. The rocks protect it from the surf, and the pool stays calm. What lives there needs that protection. Life is a paradox of resilience and fragility. Are we able to find a place to thrive, safe from the storms?

Supernatural Calm — “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” (John 14:27 ESV) Where, by grace, have you found peace?

Reliable Sanctuary — “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea.” (Psalm 46:1-2 ESV) Where do you find refuge when life feels overwhelming?

Spiritual Move: Sabbath — Setting apart a regular rhythm of rest to enjoy the provision and sovereignty of God. “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God.” (Exodus 20:8–10a ESV)
