Perhaps you have crouched over a tide pool and noticed the life in it, thriving. The rocks protect it from the surf, and the pool stays calm. What lives there needs that protection.

Supernatural Calm — “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” (John 14:27 ESV) Where, by grace, have you found peace?

Reliable Sanctuary — “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea.” (Psalm 46:1-2 ESV) Where do you find refuge when life feels overwhelming?

Spiritual Move: Solitude & Retreat — Taking time to deliberately withdraw from the demands of daily life to restore the soul. “But Jesus often withdrew to desolate places and prayed.” (Luke 5:16)
