Like the compass needle spinning, we may be disoriented, but that’s not the end. If we try to become steady and patient, we can find our true north. Take time to look at your spiritual GPS and find the place that says, “You are here.”
Reasoning Together — “Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.” (Isaiah 1:18 ESV) What is in my painful past that is in need of cleansing?
Kingdom Proximity — “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” (Mark 1:15 ESV) How should I respond to the gospel, good news?
Spiritual Move: Self-Examination — Repentance is the beginning of assessing the place of my soul before God. Make an honest examination of every area of your life. “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves.” (2 Corinthians 13:5a)
