We have held a prism to the light and watched a single beam separate into every color it was already carrying. Nothing was added — everything was already there, waiting for the right bandwidth to become visible. What looks simple from a distance is rarely simple up close. There are things inside us that only a different kind of seeing will ever reach.
Light Commands Darkness — “He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.” (Daniel 2:22 ESV) What in your life feels hidden, even from yourself?
Perfect Guidance — “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’” (John 8:12 ESV) Where do you need light on a path you can’t yet see?
Spiritual Move: Lectio Divina — Read a single passage of Scripture and take it in slowly. Try these four steps — Lectio: read it unhurried. Meditatio: stay with the word or phrase that surfaces. Oratio: respond honestly in prayer. Contemplatio: rest in what God has given. Stay until you sense a change. “Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.” (Psalm 119:18 ESV)
