We have seen the photos of ancient cave drawings. What was their purpose? Recording the hunt, telling a story, training the youth, preparing for future provision, all these are possibilities. Our impulse to share our lives with the community through story is as old as we are. Our stories are embedded in our work and family life, the wall, the campfire, the drum, all bring drama to our question, “What did you do today?”

Image Bearers — “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:27 ESV) What do you make or tend from a desire deep within you?

Worthy Calling — “I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.” (Ephesians 4:1-2 ESV) How are you most fully yourself in your work?

Spiritual Move: Vocation — The practice of discerning the work God has given to you, dedicating yourself to it, and offering it with excellence. “Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him.” (1 Corinthians 7:17 ESV)
