You have slept in the backseat as a child without concern for the road ahead. Even in the passenger seat, you relinquished control to the driver. Trust was part of your life before you understood it.
Surrendered Confidence — “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV) How are you still trying to control things?
Quiet Confidence — “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” (Isaiah 30:15 ESV) Where do I need to stop trying harder and return to rest?
Spiritual Move: Body Prayer — The practice of praying through a physical posture: kneeling, prostrating (laying flat on your stomach), opening hands — allowing the body to express symbolically what words can’t say. “And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed.” (Matthew 26:39a)
