One of our earliest stories told was of the flood. Forty days of rain transformed the ancient world; forty years in the desert formed a people. What felt like endurance became formation. Even Jesus was driven into the wilderness and emerged victorious. We have come all this way through, and we are not the same. Cycles continue to share their lessons. From the end we begin.

New Life Walking — “We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.” (Romans 6:6 ESV) How are you living your new life of freedom?

Put Off, Put On — “To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds.” (Ephesians 4:22-23 ESV) How is the Spirit renewing your mind?

Spiritual Move: Surrender — Release control of your day by taking up your cross as an act of radical trust. “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23 ESV)
