Perfect Timing

Posted on February 12, 2026February 12, 2026

The modern timepiece has many uses. Training, planning, scheduling, being on time all are helped by a reliable time keeper. Consider all the ways we should pay attention to time an opportunities.

Critical Moment — “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” (Isaiah 55:6-7 ESV) What opportunities do I need to take advantage of, while I have a chance?

Perfect Readiness — “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.” (Galatians 4:4-5 ESV) Do you realize that important things seem to happen at just the right time? Why or why not?

Divine Forbearance — “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9 ESV) How am I learning to wait and be patient? How will you know the time to move?

Active Expectancy — “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31 ESV) How can waiting become more than delay and actually give me strength?

Spiritual Move: Set your timer for five minutes and ask, “How is my attitude toward time helping or hindering my relationships?”
