Nine: Draw from the Well

We’ve seen the water weaving and splashing over the rock, seeking the lowest place gravity draws it downward. Water obeys the law and finds its path, always flowing, spraying, or soaking. Water carves its path slowly and surely, settling in a place for those in need to draw.

Well of Salvation — “With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.” (Isaiah 12:3 ESV) What are you drawing from that replenishes you?

Never Thirst Again — “Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.’” (John 6:35 ESV) What hunger or thirst in you is not yet satisfied?

Spiritual Move: Discernment — We discern when we learn to tell the difference between good and better, between what is true and what merely sounds true. Discernment is not instinct; it is a trained capacity, developed through practice, failure, and return. The more we exercise it, the more clearly we see. “But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.” (Hebrews 5:14)
